Cream Cheese Frosting

This is my favorite cream cheese frosting. I've used it countless times on carrot cake, sugar cookies, pumpkin bars and recently on spice cake. I love how it doesn't shy away from cream cheese--that's so much better than those recipes for basically buttercream frosting with just a little cream cheese thrown in there. It is light, tangy and delicious! Thanks Britt for sharing it!

Cream Cheese Frosting
(adapted from allrecipes by my sister)

1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Beat in the confectioners' sugar and vanilla until light and airy. Store in the refrigerator after use. Frosts one 9x13 cake.
