Ever since I first tried it, this has become my go-to Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. They are so fast to throw together and only make 2 dozen or so and so are quite manageable. In the picture they were for a preschool Valentine's Day party and so I drizzled some melted semi-sweet chocolate on top (because Valentine's Day treats HAVE to have chocolate, don't you think?). Usually they look like normal peanut butter cookies with the little criss-cross marks. Yummy! Make them, you'll like them!
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
(from Favorite Recipes from Quilters)
Makes 2 dozen
4 T. butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 cup peanut butter (or a little more)
1. Cream together butter and sugars. Add egg and mix lightly.
2. Combine flour and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add peanut butter and mix well. Roll into small balls.
3. Arranged on greased cookie sheet and make fork criss-cross marks.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
